How to Set Up the Shrine Theme on Shopify: Step-by-Step Guide
This guide takes you from buying Shrine to a store that is ready for customers. Set aside an hour for the first setup.
Step 1: Buy and download the theme
Choose Shrine ($29) or Shrine Pro ($39) from the pricing section. After checkout you receive the theme zip file. Not sure which? Read Shrine vs Shrine Pro.
Step 2: Upload it to Shopify
In your Shopify admin go to Online Store, then Themes, then Add theme, then Upload zip file. Keep the file zipped. Our full installation guide covers common upload problems.
Step 3: Set the basics in the theme editor
Open Customize and add your logo, brand colours and fonts. Then set up your header and footer menus under Online Store, then Navigation.
Step 4: Build your homepage with sections
Add, remove and reorder sections until the homepage is clear. A strong start is a hero banner, a featured collection, a few best-sellers and a short block that builds trust.
Step 5: Add products and collections
Use sharp photos, clear titles and honest descriptions, and set up variants such as size and colour. Group products into collections and link them from your menu.
Step 6: Add the essential pages and policies
Create About and Contact pages. Add shipping, returns and privacy policies under Settings, then Policies. Shoppers look for these before they buy.
Step 7: Set up payments, shipping and your domain
Complete Settings, then Payments, Shipping and delivery and Domains.
